Educational trips
Children of all ages take part in visits to places of interest each term. The outings are very varied and might include visits to museums, theatres, ranging from pantomime to Shakespeare, a working farm or a canal trip, or lectures, field trips, exhibitions and Outward Bounds.
Holiday trips are also arranged. There have included the annual Ski Trip, French trips to Paris and Normandy and cultural trips to Rome, Pompeii and Vesuvius.
Ski Trip 2011 Summary:
Getting up at 3am could only mean one thing, the ski trip is here again. A very smooth journey saw us arrive in the 3 valleys at lunchtime. Lovely to see new faces mingling with old hands and before we knew it we were out into the snow. Sunday saw clear blue skies and fantastic conditions. Stories of great skiing , and falling, were talked about whilst enjoying the fab food on offer. The evenings have been just as packed as the days, with swimming, jacuzzis, table tennis, quizzes, and bottom boarding all proving entertaining. I can't wait for tonight's karaoke, will Mr D dazzle us with a Tom Jones impression?
Each days skiing proved to be both challenging and rewarding. Cloudy conditions proved challenging, but the fantastic snow proved really rewarding. That's plenty to whet your appetite, I'm off to limber up for the disco. Thanks to Madame Thiebeaux, Mr Daniel and all the adults who helped to make the week fantastic once again.
